blog entry 5
I am visiting Etra Ale located in Ethiopia, Africa. Africa does not have an official capital. There are no countries that border Africa. bodies of water that border Africa are the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, & Mediterranean Sea. the GPS coordinates of Africa are 29o00' S and 24o00' E. Most of Africa has a warm/hot climate. The geography of "The Dark Continent" is as varied as the people who inhabit it. the history of etra ale is Erta Ale is one of the few volcanoes on the world that have an almost persistent lava lake. It is an isolated basaltic shield volcano, 50 km wide, rising more than 600 m from below sea level in the barren Danakil depression. etra ale is important because It is an isolated basaltic shield volcano, 50 km wide, rising more than 600 m from below sea level. I don't no how many miles there is between Mount Mauna Loa and Etra Ale. I got here to Etra Ale by a plane. And i didn't have any layovers which is a good thing. I thnk its really fun i am glad i amdoing this.
